End is real - Motor Ace

The smell of the pollution, the sights and sounds of the congestion, the rude signals and bullying on the road, the business of the city in general - what more of an indication do I need to tell me that I am HOME?

Home - where my heart is. Did not realise how much I have missed being here until touchdown. It only hit me when I ran to the toilet and THERE WAS NOT JUST TISSUE PROVIDED TO CLEAN YOURSELF (!!)

I have spent every day I have been home here so far just catching up with people, food, old seasons of One Tree Hill and my family. It has been splendid. :)

The night before my flight, I had a total of 45 minutes to sleep. Roughly. I ended my semester with a BANG, the most random way I could imagine.

1) Don's (everyone was here)
2) Varsity Tavern (hello, drama!)
3) Platinum (drinkdrinkdrink)
4) the beach (random boys telling us random stories about a guy named "Byron" who went to Byron)
5) sprinklers near the beach (yes, we're idiots)
6) Pizza place (pizza crust in Emily's bag)
7) Hotel toilet (which we had to make some sop story to get in to)

Just our luck.

Anyway, since I am home I do plan on meeting every person I have missed. This includes Y-O-U!

Not forgetting catching up on the amazing food I have been missing out on, on the past 8 months.

Don't be surprised if I end up gulping YOU down (num num NUM) - I come back here and back again I am a giant - towering over the damn city! gah.

Also, this dress, I (morethan) loike ;D

Move for me - Kaskade

Basically, 19th Birthday could not have been spent better, given the location & everything.. :)

x's & o's to the people who made this day special - and to Jason for treating me like a princess.

Tick Tock - Kesha

This isn't even half of what I eat - guys.

Ever since I've come here, oh dear me. My diet has become terrible. The times I eat my meals are revolting. The things I eat? Indescribable. Appalling to say the least.

Let's take a step in my shoes - typical eating habits for Vidhya daily.

Morning (12pm) - I wake up. Yes I am a pig. Hold that thought, though.

1pm - pasta. the same kind. pesto, fetta cheese, mushrooms, eggplant. more cheese.

4pm? - I decide I'm hungry again (I'm actually not, it's just an excuse to get out of the library/my room to get food/catch up with people) where I ALWAYS without fail buy a strawberry milkshake + either a KitKat/Carrot cake/Choc Chip Muffin...

6pm - Dinner time. Same crap of either pasta/pizza/tofu thing/nachoes.

10pm - Sometimes pizza. Sometimes a tub of peanut butter. Sometimes Banana bread, depending if I go out for late night coffee.

12am - Macadamia nuts/something to munch on to let me sleep

Do I exercise? Answer is absolutely not. I went swimming like.. ONCE this semester.

So don't be phased if I come back resembling a buffalo. THIS IS MY WARNING!

Barely Breathing - Duncan Sheik

At the moment, ear phones plugged in, and I am screaming my lungs out to this song. I love how when that happens the only thing you are focused on is trying to overcome the sounds in your ears by your own voice. Everything else is drowned out.

Wow OK that was dramatic.

Things going on here, things going on back at home. It's all like a blend of bad things happening at once. I almost feel helpless. And more home sick. Why does this happen? Why is it life throws us hurdles when we least want it, or least expect it?

Then again, when would it ever be a good time to face problems? Never.

Today I have been happy, sad, and angry.

Happy when I'm around my friends, Sad when I'm alone with my own thoughts, and Angry.. with one, but many things.

One of the many frivolous, unimportant things I get angry about?
Someone today called me cute.
Cute. Is not a compliment. Cute is one of the most condescending things you could say to a person. It's like saying "you look like a 12 year old, grow up".

Point is, I should get over these things. There are bigger more important things out there to be worried about. fml.

Want You - Motor Ace

My first (and quite frankly) the best Halloween I have celebrated away from home!
The best thing about it was how creatively everyone was dressed - from two girls in white aprons with blood all over it, a fake fish in their pocket (Butchers) - to Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny - to Harry Potter (hahaa) - to little red riding hood - to of course, the skanky police women, nurses, bunnies, etc.

And I quote from Mean Girls:
"Halloween is an excuse for girls to dress up as skanks"

I could not be bothered thinking of what I was going to dress up as until the actual day. I finally decided on being an "Angel" - mainly because Jash was going as "the devil" and it was easy to dress up as. All I needed was a white dress, Jash provided and a halo.

Nope, looked everywhere, there was no halo to be found. Instead, I bought this thing with WINGS on my head. Thats right. WINGS.
So I figured why not, two in one right? As opposed to using wings at the back..... (shut up, I was being optimistic)

I swear to God I looked ridiculous!

People came up to me asking me if I was a Bunny? No man. No. A butterfly? No.
WHICH BUTTERFLY IS WHITE?

My friends said it was easy to spot me in the crowd, they just had to look up and they could see my "wings" bobbing around. hahaha. So cute. Anyway, you judge:

Angel and ze Devil's advocate

hahaha this idiot is effing racist. Osama bin Laden, ya'll

I think I'm paranoid - Garbage

So the Byron pictures are sort of up. Many things happened but I'll just talk about one incident, for now.

Let me just explain that Byron Bay is about an hour away from the Gold Coast so no, I would not call this a roadtrip? Well technically we did stay at a cheap motel and did all that jazz so yea it was?

I also expected it to be a place with endless beaches - I've heard so much about the place, about how beautiful it is. Little did we know, we arrived there and it was raining season! It had not rained in 2 whole months, but the day we went out, come the clouds and down the rain pours.

Ah well.

Later at night, letsjustsayIgotalittletoointoxicated..

There was this one point when Jash was holding me trying to take a picture of me, I squirmed..

and hit my head against the window sill. like BAM.

We then went to this place called Cheeky Monkeys. Classy place - you dance on tables and everything.

But honestly, wah, I had the BEST time. They played music from the 90's - like Hanson's Mmbop, TLCs No scrubs, etc.

While trying to be a hero to climb up a particular table, little drunk Vid slipped and fell and hit the same spot on my leg....twice.

It's been a week and this is still what it looks like:

Oops I did it again - Britney Spears

Reason I deleted my previous post:
Sorry to disappoint guys, (believe me when I say this, I was just as devastated as you are about to be...)

But the whole Asher Roth thing was a fake. He never was at Bond. It was a plain old stupid rumour some idiotic American decided to spread because a guy here RESEMBLES him.

And that is who "I met". The guy who "stole my couch". The guy I fantasized about getting to....ahem ok got a bit carried away there. But yes. That guy is no more but a little peasant trying to get ahead in this crazy world.

And now whenever I see this douche (ok this is not his fault - but who asked him to look like Asher!) - it brings me back to the time that I was betrayed. The time I told 12421412123 people about this. I called my MOM up for God's sake. And yet, the definite and concluding words uttered by the guy who told me all of this to begin with (who, fell for this too) really hit a spot.

(our heart has neurons, so technically we have "two brains" - so when he told me this I HAD HEART PAIN. PAINNNN I TELL YOU PAAAIIIINNNNNNNN)

..and then we turned our hurt in to anger and decided to pay revenge to the guy who "thought" that this would be absolutely fucking hilarious.

Well guess what buddy, CHUM, fucking pal. Jokes on you. You'll see.

On another note, way way too much has been happening. I've been on a roadtrip to Byron with friends (they have yet to upload the pictures) which was greattttt, had a couple of accidents there though - will elaborate on that further when I have my pictures..

Oh. I also overcome a fear of mine:
thats me. Holding a farking long Python.
note: I love this dress:)

Wreck of the Day - Anna Nalick

Does anybody know who this is?
This American Rapper who sang the song entitled "I Love College" (YouTube the video if you don't already know this song - it's catchy I assure you)

Well, I am very proud to announce that HE lives ON MY FLOOR AT BOND UNI, BITCHES!

I have yet to meet him, because a friend of mine who befriended him took me to his room (just few doors down, baby) and unfortunately Mr Roth was not in :(

However, it is my goal to meet & befriend him as soon as possible!

Ps: This song has so much sentimental value because it's the very song Sha, Nat and I sang all the way to and fro our roadtrip my last holidays. Awww

I was so excited when I found out, I made my mom call me. Funniest conversation:

V: MAAA GUESS WHAT!
M: what!
V: .. THERES A RAPPER LIVING ON MY FLOOR!
M: .....oh. aiya you called me to tell me that? what la, I thought you did well academically for a subject..
V: WHO CARES? THERES A RAPPER ON MY FLOOR!
M: What la, Vidhya.
V: *laughing histerically* my goal is to befriend him ASAP! OH my God Ma your daughter would be FRIENDS with a RAPPER!
You wanna hear the lyrics?
"DRINK MY BEER AND SMOKE MY WEED..."
M: oh good God!
V: HAHAHAHAH
M: I also can become famous la, like that. I'll do a rap entitled "LIFE".
"I woke up this morning, dropped my daughters to school.."
V: HAHAHAHA.

I guess you had to be there to hear this conversation. My mom is hilarious.

Cry - Mandy Moore

Apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur..

You know how as soon as you hear a song from the past, you reminisce on exactly how you felt at that moment - this song would always remind me of my time at Taylors College last year.
Where has the time gone?

Not to get all emotional and perceptive on you, but growing up is such a weird feeling. Watching your friends you grew up with GROW up on their own somewhere else is even weirder.

The older we get, the more responsibilities, the more experiences. Things feel new, old things get old, and then we stop and listen to that song that we once all sang along to together - time stops and you can't help but sit back and remember.

I sound like a grandma; speaking of, last night I was out and by the time we got back (1 am - which is not even late) I was tired, my back hurt, and I was grumpy and bored.

It was Melanie's 20th. Good night, pictures will be up on Facebook eventually.

However, funny story, this group of American students were standing (more like pushing and shoving) in the line up to Platinum Night Club next to Jash & I, while one of them whips out her camera and snapped shots.

Yes, I remember this happening - but never did I think I would ever see those pictures. Never.

She came up to me last night and introduced herself as the "girl we took pictures with on Thursday". We became Facebook Buddies and she tagged me in the picture!

Evidently, the only picture I have from that night.

Also, something else followed me home last night..

I now have the most blocked nose - I reckon if I pull some Johnny Bravo lines I'd be able to pick me up some hot babes. In the dark. Or if they were blind, of course.

Rendevouz - Craig David

I'm back at Bond for O week (Orientation week) and this time around apparently heaps of American Exchange students are coming to towwwwn ;)

As promised:

23rd Aug '09
Arrived in Melbourne!
After a night of tolerating Kristy's extended (crazeh) family, went back to hers where I was given a nice separate room. Kind of like Ryan's pool house in the OC. Just not as big of course.

The next day, I dragged her to the city to meet Kim, where I had dinner with Mei and stayed at his.
Dropped crumbs on his bed, made his room smell of me, made him watch youtube videos but hella worth it. I've missed that boy :)

besides the fact that HE SAID I'M FAT >:(!

Thursday night was dinner night at Kristy's. The rest of the Girls came down and we all got to paint the town red togetherrr.

.. plus Jason. :)

Next day, my sister came to pick me up and we spent the day together.
Caught up with her friends from Melbourne:

Sexy Bitch - Akon

My holidays have been..... ready for it......?

TOTES FAB!

Sorry to everyone for being so distant - It's pretty difficult trying to keep in contact with everyone at the moment, seeing that I'm living in different places a lot.
Yes, I'm random & spontaneous(idiotically ambitious) that way. But hey look! I have internet and I'm alive so all is well.

As soon as I go back to Uni (this Wed) I'll post up pictures and spend a good couple of hours trying to justify what I've been up to.

Also, I'll guarantee a lot of me time - for those who want me babeh ;) xx

Butterfly - Crazy Town

Exams are over. Praise the Lord.

So my Torts exam started at 6.30 pm and ended at 8.30 pm. I immediately got my tag from Don's, ran home, got ready, pre-drank with my geek rockstars and off we were!

The Geeks.

The Theme for End of Sem Bash for 092 Semester: What I wanna be When I grow up...
A Geek? Naw - we just thought it'd be fun to dress up as.

We each had tags of names of geeks we "aspired" to be - I put mine as Terry Gygar. (Torts Lecturer)
How appropriate. heh :p

Pictures will do the talking.

Some drunk douche asked if we were sisters. I said yes.

For every sleezy drunk douche, we claimed we were lesbian lovers.
Guy: hey there *insert sleezy comment*?
Us: we're lesbian lovers. we need our space
guy: I don't believe you. Kiss!

baahahah.

OFF TO MELBOURNE TOMORROWWWW!!!!! need to pack!

Stuck - Stacie Orrico

When Delirium and Restlessness and That-feeling-of-your-head-exploding combine..

I forget my days,
I forget what DATE it is,
I get up at odd hours, I sleep at even odder times.
I become nocturnal.
I have mood swings.
I get annoyed by the silliest thing, things that usually don't bother me.
I feel my head throb.
I eat 10x more, I get hungry EVEN MORE!

ARRHH

Friday night 9pm I'M GETTING SO FUCKED OFF MY FACE I DESERVE IT DAMMIT!

Underneath your clothes - Shakira

Just here for a quickie.

Classes for this semester 092 have officially ended. One more week and it's exams!

How exciting.

What is even more exciting - I booked my ticket to Melbourne today. Kristy, Mel, Sara and I are going to catch a train down to Brissy then take a flight there. Cannot wait :)

I've been hibernating. I was not seen by anyone for 2 whole days - I stayed in my room and procrastinated like nobody's tomorrow. Unhealthy, but much needed.

Today on the other hand, I spent catching up with everyone I missed or failed to see for those two days. After a nice couple of hours by the lake, I came back and drove Chantal's car for a maccas run.

Weird dreams - I keep getting them. It needs to stop. You know what else needs to stop? Me procrastinating.

Ok before I ramble on garbage, I'm going to rap this up. Peace out homie G's :)

kisses
xx

Saturday, August 1, 2009

It's 3.36 am and I have been procrastinating since, around, 12 hours ago. Today was supposed to be my "sit my arse down and do some serious study" day but instead it became this totally random mix of events.
I basically just came back from a live jazz bar, my kind of thing. Absolutely. Played beautiful music my Daddy would have appreciated.

On a different note, I have been rather perceptive as of late. Just getting to know people, to having tea break conversations with those that are older and wiser than you can really make a difference on your daily outlooks.

And after these intellectual conversations, it is hard not to feel enlightened. Malaysia is a country filled with beautiful, intelligent and highly capable people but just being in a different country - a Western one to be exact - has made me realise how truly narrow minded we are.

Since we were walking toddlers, we were just brought up to be intellectually inclined - studying and getting good grades was the only way up. We were constantly pressured since, to strive to be the best at studies, to be just as good at sports. And then we grow up, become teenagers and we are at the stage at where we would have to decide for ourselves, what really was our ambition - but how would you know if you were only exposed to so little?

The options in doing degrees abroad are immaculate - it ranges from Art degrees to Science degrees, Law degrees to Acting degrees.

But in reality, we grow up to realize that the only degrees that would be "satisfactory" or "worth your parents money" are the ones that are high in demand for jobs.

Makes sense? Definitely. Parents only want the best for us. But wouldn't it be a bigger loss to know that someone had the potential to do something they were truly passionate about and was given no choice to do so?

See, I come and study here, and I see a whole new range of people. They did not grow up with the constant pressures we did. In fact, it is encouraged for people to speak their minds and do what they feel is best for them.

And you know what? I fucking respect that. Because with that, people become broad thinkers, are open to many options, and they ultimately lead a happy life.

That IS our goal right? Good job = good pay = happy life.

What if that was not the only equation to a happy life?

So, I encourage everyone reading this; as I was told the same - to try new things. It might be the most minuscule little change, but whatever experience you gain from life, I suggest you pounce and ride it like Zorro.

Heck, when I'm 26, I would love to be able to say that I had experienced as much as he did.

Don't Go - Jason Sean Miller :)

I've fallen in love with Jason's *picture below* song. And I've been awesome at promoting (forcing it on people) too, so do ask for me to give it to you next time.. :)
And Sum 41 - With You (from gossip girls, where Chuck and Blair first hook up in the limo)

As of now, I have 84 recently added songs to my playlist.
thank youuuuuuuuu Natt Lim, Sha Jackson, Jason Miller and Kristy Merganovski!

Guess what I am doing tonight? I'm going to be judging a
Hot Body contest baby! I'll post pictures later, thats if I don't froth excessively and drown myself in a puddle of drool.

Tomorrow I'm going to watch Jason (drums, guitar, vocals), Ben (drums) and Evert (guitar + vocals) in action at Live and Loud 092. Should be a good night (:

Last night a couple of us watched
The Matrix.

I FINALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!

Shots - LMFAO feat Lil John

Special note to the innocents: the lyrics are from the song written above. Courtesy of Natt Lim. :D
I showed it to my friends, they cracked up laughing and decided it was the song of the night.

If you not drunk ladies and gentleman,
get ready to get FUCKED UP!

Punch of death. Made me suffer from a hangover till.. now. 8pm? tyeah - crazy.

Take #1

Take #2

All of the alcoholics, where you at?

Petrone on the rocks, lets get some SHOTS!

holy mother of. I was so gone. SO so gone. Kinky shit right there

If you ain't drunk,
get the fuck out of the club!

Look at Kristy. Reow reowwwwwwwwww
Naww, love right there. <3>
we've come to the revelation that we can rap to the exact same song! (or attempt to..)

This whole week was dedicated to Sara. She turned 19:) As of yesterday, celebrations ovah. Time to hit the books, and hard.

Exams are in 3 weeks and counting. It's 'that time' of the semester again - and all those who went home from Melbourne are back to start their second semester. It's a weird feeling.

I swear this semester for me has just flown - so much has changed. I compared it to that of last semester, and realised that this time I spent it more on friendships. I don't know where half of it went - spent doing what - but ultimately the end is at sight. Time to buckle down to nerd gear and get on the mooooove!

This holidays I have decided that I'm not going to go back home. Instead, I'm going to cruise around Australia - starting from Melbourne, probably go down to New Castle to stay with my sisters, Sydney where I'll stay with Jash, and.. well.. after that I have no idea. Thats just how I do things anyway, unplanned. It's just works better for me.

Hopefully my bestfriend is able to find a job that can fund her flight ticket here :) Anyone have a brilliant idea to earn about 1k as soon as possible?

Random revelation - I realised I really missed Foong Wing Hang and Manjuli Madi.

It would, be comforting, to hear from either of you soon?

As for the rest of you, I've already recently heard from you so still deeply missed tho. Keep the emails coming - I promise I'm much better at these (procrastinating) things now.

As for me, I've been sick this whole week. No, not swine, for the last (fucking) time. But I managed to pull through and all is good! No more coughing + spluttering + nose dripping + man voice Vid walking around.

How are you? Comment, here :)

kisses,
xx
